JorgeKeymasterLooks good! Well, Four Winds and Huia, and Layla if I’m not wrong (3 out of 4 community boats) are steel made, so there’s for sure some knowledge to help out. Better write what you need help with and we’ll see what we can do!
All best energies to keep on going!
JorgeKeymasterThanks for keeping this alive, people! Slowly but steady, more and more people joins :). I can’t join you for this summer, as I am busy, but I send you all my energies!
JorgeKeymasterLink is fixed now π
JorgeKeymasterHi!
As far as I understand, there’s a bid also going on on the boat? Or how does it work?
Thanks for sharing!!
JorgeKeymasterHola Arnau,
Best thing to do is to get to the marinas and ask for a ride to everyone you see is more or less ready to go. People will normally give you advice and sure you’ll find your way over there. This works best than any other way, specially through this little starting forum yet not as big as to attract as many rides as people wanting to get on a boat.
Theres some information about how to hitchike a boat on our website www.http://alternativesailing.org/how-to-hitchhike-a-sailboat/ and you’ll also find positions available in this websites: findacrew.net (paid) crewbay.com (free) crewseekers.net (paid). I also find useful some groups in Couchsurfing, look for “Boat hitchiking” “Couchsailing internatonal” “The sailing sailors project” and “A couch on a boat”. There are lots of rides and you might find the one you like.
I’m supperhappy to have read your post anyway! I’ll keep in touch about that ecovillage, would love to visit π

JorgeKeymasterHi MFV!
Thanks for sharing your idea with the universe. Sure would be a bit more helpful if you give some more details of the idea of sharing you’re offering, where in the mediterranean are you based, if your boat is ready to sail or need some fixing, some information of the boat (size, how many people you intend to have on bpard), and what’s (if you have any) your idea of where you’d like to cruise to.
Sure they are people wanting to help you out to be part of it!
One more thing, you say you’re unable to cruise with your boat by yourself, what do you mean with that? It is important to make the right call if captains/helm experience is also needed π
Much love
P.S: we’d love to see your beauty, have you got any pictures?
